Future of the Global West

Reimagining Western influence and global leadership

Global West 2.0

The Global West 2.0 Project is an initiative of the Global Greater Washington International Relations Committee. It exists to reimagine Western influence and global leadership under the stewardship of America and its partners, transforming the West into a pluralist, ethical, and innovative force for collective prosperity.

In essence, Global West 2.0 is not about extending dominance—it’s about recasting influence as stewardship, where America and its partners lead by convening, listening, and co-creating the architecture of tomorrow.

Through knowledge production, research, and strategic engagement, we help reframe and position America and its allies as conveners of inclusive and transnational dialogue.

The Future of the Global West: Resilience or Decline

A bold look at the future of western global power and influence.

For nearly eight decades, the Global West—anchored in liberal democracy, capitalism, and technological leadership—has shaped global politics, economics, and culture. From the post–World War II order to the triumph of the Cold War, Western nations-built institutions and alliances that secured dominance.

But history is shifting. Multipolarity, technological disruption, and climate imperatives are redefining power. Can the Global West adapt—or is it entering an era of relative decline?

In The Future of the Global West: Resilience or Decline, Dr. Jean Narcisse Djaha, distinguished political scientist, highly acclaimed & respected young global thought leader & a renowned social impact leader, delivers a sharp analysis of the forces transforming global order and explores whether Western leadership can endure in a rapidly changing world.
